Video: The Cadillac ATS-V gets leaked on the web with some details

Earlier today Road&Track received the scoop on some important details for this new ATS-V, Cadillac’s first ever attempt at competing against the proverbial BMW M3 and M4.

Making out to be one of the premiere reveals at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show, the new ATS-V is expected to come with Cadillac’s latest twin-turbo 3.6L V6, lifted from the Cadillac CTS Vsport sedan. However, it’s been massaged and upgraded to churn out 450hp and 445 lb-ft of twist.

This comes thanks to upgraded with Pankl Racing Systems-sourced titanium connecting rods, two water-to-air intercoolers, twin titanium-turbine turbochargers to make more than 450hp and 445 lb-ft of torque. And this is to motivate 3,600lbs worth of Cadillac. There’s also an additional radiator for the transmission and locking differential.

And what’s a high-performance Cadillac without performance-tuned suspension, featuring an increase in roll stiffness by 50 percent when compared to the normal ATS, top-spec Michelin Pilot Super Sport shoes to deliver the grip, and an optional track pack to boost everything with more intensity and a weight reduction of around 100lbs.

All in all, on paper, the ATS-V is one serious BMW M4 competitor. Did we also mention it’ll have a six-speed manual and an optional eight-speed auto?
