Report: Hyundai could import their China-aimed ix25 into the states
Europe’s AutomotiveNews branch heard through the grapevine that Hyundai could be importing their ix25 compact crossover, currently slated for the Chinese market in the near future. Should the ix25 be globalized, a release in both Europe and the United States is estimated to happen sometime in 2017.
The ix25 is being developed specifically for the Chinese market, where crossovers and the automobile market in general are outrageously strong. But because crossovers are popular on a global scale, Europe and the US are likely to get their own versions.
Specific details, as usual, aren’t exactly known, but the international ix25 has a high probablility of being our next generation Tucson.
