Photo Rendering: This is what the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT could look like without a head
The new Mercedes-Benz AMG GT is just about here and ready to take on the Porsche 911 and the Jaguar F-Type. However, right now, it will only be available in coupe form, which seems a bit unnerving when the AMG GT is designed to compete head-to-head with the former and latter from Porsche and Jaguar–both of which are offered in hardtop and convertible form.
That said, it would be a bit irrational for Mercedes to offer an AMG GT without a head as well. To wet our imaginations as to what it could look like, X-Tomi Design went the extra step to render some digital photos to give us an idea of what a convertible AMG GT could look like.

Mercedes-Benz hasn’t confirmed to be working on a convertible version and some recent reports suggested that it may not even happen at all, to avoid cannibalizing sales from the next-generation Mercedes-Benz SL and the new and incoming Mercedes-Benz S-Class Convertible.
On the flipside, a high-performance Black Series edition has been seen running about the Nurburging in test mule form, so that could make up for the deficit of the lack of a convertible. If we were to make a bet, it would be 50/50.
