Report: Toyota could sell their own version of the BMW 1-Series

Toyota isn’t unfamiliar to the badgineering crowd…they have Lexus to boot. Though, Toyota is rumored to possible offer their own version of the next-generation BMW 1-Series, closing the ties even more between their collaborative efforts in the future.

Word comes from Best Car Magazine and rumors point to a codename of 69DZ and is expected to sit below the GT 86 with a similar hatchback design as the new 1-Series. Powering the front wheels is a naturally-aspirated 1.5L four-banger with 130hp and 110 lb-ft of torque with six-speed automatic and manual cog changers.

The model could show up at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show, though confirmation is very much unknown.
