Report: Audi Q7 e-tron due for launch within next year

CarAdvice reports that Audi is almost ready to reveal a Q7 e-tron, after speaking with Audi’s technology and communications manager, Oliver Strohbach.

The new model is expected to launch either later this year or early next year, riding on Audi’s latest MLB Evo architecture, the same chassis expected to provide a backbone for the next-gen A4, A6, A7, and A8.

Motivation is to be supplied by a 3.0L TDI V6 supported by an electric motor, for a total output of 368hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. A fuel economy figure of 58.8 mpg on the US cycle is expected with an all EV range of around 31 miles.
