According to the report, the Polestar V40 will sport a 2.0L turbocharged and supercharged four-banger lifted from the all-new 2015 XC90 with 315bhp on tap. A 0-60 time of less than six seconds is expected along with a top sprint of at least 155 mph.

In addition to the more powerful engine, a Polestar-tuned suspension with stiffer springs, stronger anti-roll bars, high-performance Bermbos and Ohlins shock absorbers are also expected.
