Report: A Dodge Charger Hellcat may be due later this fall

AutoGuide has learned that Dodge may be upping the ante with its Charger by offering a SRT Hellcat version later this fall. Yup, a 707hp Dodge Charger…

Not too long ago, Dodge introduced their Challenger SRT Hellcat featuring the standard 6.2L V8 fitted with a supercharger to produce an eye-watering 707hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. Just for comparative puproses, the standard R/T Challenger with the 5.7L V8 produces a more than adequate 370hp and 395 lb-ft of torque. Should the Charger version be true, an eight-speed automatic will be the only transmission available, sending power to the rear. That’s definitely going to need some beefing up.

Should all hold to be true, the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat would be the world’s most powerful series production sedan.

Yay or nay? Let us know in the comments.
