Recalls: GM stops sales of Chevrolet Cruze over faulty airbags, prepares recall

GM is at it again as AutomotiveNews reports that the Detroit giant just issued a temporary stop-sale, then lifted the cease on all 2013 to 2014 Chevrolet Cruze sedans due to concerns over the airbags.

According to the report, the inflator module may have been assembled with an incorrect part, which could inhibit the function of the system in the event of a collisions. After a followup conducted by AutoBlog, word is that around 33,000 Cruzes are affected and after the stop-sale was lifted, the automaker plans to prepare a recall.

The statement has yet to be released, though we can expect that to occur very soon.
