Report: Lamborghini Urus could receive turbocharged four-banger

The Lamborghini Urus has the automobile world intrigued with the prospect of an SUV crossover by the hypercar automaker. While the Urus will hark back to Lamborghini’s LM002 SUV in very subtle ways, it will still be socially and technologically relevant. That said, a new report from AutoExpress in the UK supposedly confirms this.

According to the report, the Urus will be offered with a turbo four-banger for the more accessible entry-level model. The word comes after the outlet apparently spoke with Lamborghini’s CEO, Stephan Winkelmann. Though the upper level engine will still be a high-performance version of Audi’s twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8.

The Urus isn’t expected to go into production until 2017, but so far, reports have kept hopes high saying that the production model will highly resemble the concept.
