Report: Audi considering entry-level roadster to sit below TT
CarAdvice recently heard that Audi may be toying with the idea of a new subcompact sports roadster, which will sit below the TT in the lineup.
Not much is known, other than rumors that it could be based on the next-generation Volkswagen Polo. With Volkswagen’s recent use of modular platforms, this doesn’t sound to be unreasonable.
Other hints were suggested by Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, who said that the TT is the most sport car made on that platform. The new Polo’s MQB platform could provide a starting point for something even sportier.
