Report: Mercedes-Benz AMG GT to come only with automatic, no manual
A new report is in surrounding the highly-anticipated Mercedes-Benz AMG GT, the model expected to compete directly with the Porsche 911 and the Jaguar F-Type.
Undertaking the role as a “baby SLS,” the AMG GT will apparently only be offered with an automatic transmission, according to Top Gear in the UK.
Codenamed C190, the new model will be powered by a Mercedes-Benz AMG’s latest twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 good for lots and lots of power. The AMG GT will also only be offered in rear-wheel drive with a range-topping Black Series, plus “many, many more variants.”
