[Video] It’s a 2014 Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid over ice

Why not? Porsche popped this video on their YouTube account today and while it’s not exactly the intended use of a  $99,000 luxury sedan, it’s an acceptable one. Despite the fact that a rear wiper is an optional extra on this car, there are one or two things that it does come with that are worth mention. 0-60 happens in 5.2 seconds and it’s able to a 1.8 quarter mile, not small feats in a car that weighs 4,600 lbs (the same as a Tesla Model S). This is thanks to the 414 combined horsepower and 435 ft lbs of torque that comes from the hybrid powertrain. This is the only Panamera that comes with Porsche’s 8-speed Tiptronic transmission and it’s the only one with a wet sump lubrication system.

Though this front-engined, 3 liter V6 powered rear wheel drive sedan rubs Porsche purists the wrong way, one does have to admit that it’s probably a comfortable place to sit whilst hooning around a frozen lake. Feel free to review the recreation after the jump.
