Callaway reveals tuned Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, bumps power to 652hp

Callaway, the tuning firm more commonly associated with coachbuilding Corvettes, got their hands on the epic new Chevrolet Camaro Z/28.

And by doing so, they equipped the naturally-aspirated 7.0L V8 with a TVS2300 supercharger to make the SC 652 model. The result is a total of 652hp, which is 147hp and 139 lb-ft of torque more than the base LS7 motor. This power also comes thanks to a high-flow intake, an intercooler, and a sports exhaust system.

Power is sent to the rear via a six-speed manual transmission, catapulting the beast to 60 in just 3.7 seconds, for a quarter mile sprint of 11.5 seconds at 124 mph. Other upgrades include some touches that remind you that Callaway reworked some bits, like embroidered floor mats, and an individually-numbered dash plaque with lots of Callaway badging.

The package starts at $19,995 and production is limited to ten units.
