Sure it’s brown, but it’s not a highly polished, well, I think you know what I mean. With a glass ceiling, over-the-top concept car fittings inside and out, this is definitely a tricky one to envision as a production car, but it’s worth thinking about. Leaked earlier today, this estate represents the third entry in Volvo’s Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform. As mentioned previously, this trio represents a total reinvention of the automaker’s lineup with the first sampling likely to show up this fall as the new XC90 full-size SUV.
The shooting brake pictured above takes cues from the Volvo P1800 of the 1960s (yes, the one James Bond drove) and is mostly a regurgitation of the Concept XC and the Concept Coupe. Stay tuned for more information and the official reveal at the 84th Geneva International Auto Show in March.
