Report: Nissan considering more luxurious variant to Qashqai in Europe

Over in Europe, word is that Nissan could be considering a more luxurious variant to their very successful Qashqai crossover, which could take form in the shape of a Range Rover Evoque Competitor.

The possible stylized crossover could be “coupe-styled,” much like the Evoque two-door and Nissan Europe’s general manager for product planning ant strategy, Marco Fioravanti, shared with AutomotiveNews, his confidence in the potential success of such a model.

Though nothing is set in stone as Nissan reportedly also wants to expand the Qashqai model with a high-performance Nismo version. Despite the Qashqai not being sold stateside, there still remains the possibility that Nissan could choose to give the Rogue a similar treatment, both with a possible Nismo version in addition to a new coupe-like crossover. They attempted, Murano CrossCabriolet, and we all know how that went. But it’s proof that Nissan isn’t afraid to experiment.
