Exclusive: Lincoln was going to reveal the 2015 Navigator at Washington, moved to Chicago instead

We at egmCarTech were invited out to check out the Washington DC Auto Show, where automakers do their best to make their biggest impressions on our federal government, in the heart of the nation’s capitol, in hopes to gain as much political support as possible.

And amidst all of the rather low-key press conferences just overviewing some of the recent models revealed in Detroit, Lincoln appeared to have something special in store for those of us who braved the recent East Coast snowstorm: an all-new and completely redesigned 2015 Lincoln Navigator.

Though after touching base with one of the spokespersons at the Lincoln stand, they disclosed that Ford had made a last-minute decision to reveal the Navigator at the Chicago Auto Show in just a few short weeks. Interestingly enough, MotorAuthority caught a tweet from another individual here on media duty for the DC Auto Show, who said that the Navigator will be revealed tomorrow in addition to snatching a pic of said new Navigator. That will most likely be a web reveal (though don’t be surprised at inconsistencies since we journalistic lot can be given the runaround sometimes).

Either way, it’s a definite that Lincoln has a new Navigator in the docket to continue competing against other full-size luxury SUV offerings like the Cadillac Escalade. So stay tuned.
