Ahead of the imminent Detroit Auto Show, Kia released a new teaser image of their GT4 Stinger Concept. According to Kia, the car is powered by a 2.0 liter direct injected, turbocharged four producing 315 horsepower; the power is backed up by credible Brembo Gran Turismo brakes over cross drilled rotors, rear wheel drive, a six-speed manual, and 20-inch carbon-fiber reinforced wheels.
To top it all of, the concept is finished in what Kia is calling ignition yellow, but the rest of us might call it “orange”, or “metallic orange” if we are feeling ambitious. EGM will definitely have more on the Kia GT4 Stinger concept during our live, onsite coverage of next week’s show. For now, check out the marketing fluff after the jump.

Kia’s GT4 Stinger concept will be unveiled at the 2014 North American International Auto Show next week. Beneath the low wedge of the sculpted hood resides a tuned version of Kia’s proven 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline direct injected (T-GDI) four-cylinder engine pumping out an impressive 315 horsepower. The hooves hit the ground via a close-ratio six-speed manual transmission that routes power to the rear wheels where 275/35R20 Pirelli P-Zero performance tires meet the asphalt. Staggered 235/35R20 Pirelli P-Zeros nestle beneath the front fenders. Custom 20-inch aluminum center-lock wheels feature carbon fiber inserts for strength and weight reduction. Tucked inside the massive wheels and bringing the GT4 to a halt are Brembo Gran Tourismo two-piece cross-drilled rotors with four-piston calipers. And underpinning the GT4 Stinger’s sculpted “Ignition Yellow” body is a custom chassis with an independent double wishbone suspension.
For the rest of the salacious details, you’ll have to wait for the real thing…
