Report: Subaru still planning a seven-seater Tribeca successor
Subaru is in the process of revamping their entire lineup for a new generation of cars. And one of those cars is a replacement seven-seat crossover to the Tribeca. With a booming market for these crossovers, it’s likely the Tribeca will compete against the likes of the Hyundai Santa Fe, Chevrolet Traverse, and the Ford Flex.
According to a report from AutomotiveNews, demand for a seven-seat crossover from US dealerships is high, echoing high customer demand.
“I’ve received very strong requests from U.S. dealers for a multi-passenger, seven-seat vehicle,” said Yasuyuki Yoshinaga, president of Fuji Heavy Industries, Subaru’s corporate parent. “And we are planning to introduce it to the U.S. market.”
Though a timeline for the SUV wasn’t disclosed. But confidence for a seven-seater Subaru crossover is high as some have said the new SUV will fill a major gap in the brand’s lineup.
