Porsche recently published a video on YouTube, officially teasing the 2014 Macan midsize SUV for the first time. Set to debut at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show in the coming month, the new Macan is setting out to essentially carry the mission of the Cayenne SUV, except in a smaller and more affordable package.
That means encompassing all of the performance and luxury virtues expected from a Porsche, except in a fairly capable crossover SUV.
Engines will include the choice of two twin-turbocharged V6s, rated to displace 3.0L or 3.6L. The 3.6L unit is expected to churn out 395hp and 406 lb-ft of torque, most likely destined for the S model. Power will be sent to a rear-biased all-wheel drive system via manual and PDK automatic transmissions.
Check out the teaser after the jump.
