Germany’s AutoBild.de reports that Audi will be proceeding with a new mini subcompact crossover called the Q1, which is said to be based on the latest Volkswagen Polo.

It will apparently be around 12.4 feet long while being described to have “generous ground clearance” and other off-road styling cues.

Engines will range from a 1.4L TFSI gasoline four-banger, to a 1.4L TDI diesel good for 90hp. A high-performance SQ1 with 231hp is also expected, along with a hybrid variant with a 1.2L gasoline engine and a 109hp electric motor.

Pricing should hover around 20,000 euro or $27,050. No word on a US bound version.
