Report: Mercedes-Benz may introduce CLA Shooting Brake, but it won’t come stateside

Originally, a convertible based on the CLA-Class was being considered. It was to be called the SLA roadster, though the automaker is leaning more towards the latter shooting brake, essentially following in the footsteps of the CLS Shooting Brake.

The new CLA variant won’t be offered in the US, since our turf sees wagons as visually unappealing—which we disagree. Though insiders told C/D that a convertible wasn’t as worthy of an investment as the extended rear version.
