Report: Jaguar’s BMW 3-Series rival due in 2015, to come in sedan, wagon and coupe form
An update comes in from AutoExpress in the UK regarding the much-anticipated Jaguar compact sports sedan that will rival the BMW 3-Series. According to the report, Jaguar’s new sedan will arrive in 2015 in sedan, wagon, and coupe forms.
The new model will be built on Jaguar’s latest iQ aluminum architecture internally called the iQ platform, which is another version of a modular platform. After speaking with the Coventry based manufacturer’s global brand director, Adrian Hallmark, he confidently boasted that Jaguar’s BMW 3-Series competitor will be “the most efficient, refined, and advanced cars in their class.”
Rumors have already pointed to the use of a completely new line of 2.0L gasoline and diesel turbo fours with the possibility for the integration of hybrid technology.
