Volvo revealed a brief teaser of a new concept apparently due at this year’s Frankfurt Auto Show in September. Though the teaser only showcased a car in a sort of subliminal message as the video teaser doesn’t really feature much B-roll of the concept, which is called the Concept C Coupe by the way.
But using some software to slow the video down frame by frame, we were able to recover some of the shots embedded within the video.
And the rest is of Volvo’s design boss, Thomas Ingenlath, providing viewers with some words indicating Volvo’s direction. He touches upon remarks of Volvos of the past, all of which were conservatively handsome, but served as Europe’s idea of being luxuriously inoffensive. Ingenlath reassured to the viewers that those days are over.
Volvo’s have always had a unique soul, but one that was always encapsulated by the Swedish automaker’s obsession with automotive safety. That said, from what we’re able to see in the teaser, it looks like Volvo will be taking a serious leap forward.
See what Ingenlath has to say after the jump.
