Report: Audi MPV still in the works, to be based off of the current A3

AutoCarUK reports that Audi will be introducing their first MPV ever in the near future and it will be based off of the current A3 family. According to the British auto news outlet, the new people-carrying model could be called the “V4,” which is something not to confuse with a motorcycle engine.

Because it is said to be based off of the current A3, this likely translates into the use of Audi’s latest MQB modular architecture.

A recent report from a different outlet has apparently learned that a concept is even ready to be showcased, but Audi’s executives are unsure as to reveal it or not at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show.

We’ve heard through past reports of Audi’s behind-the-scenes activity to build an A3 crossover and/or an A3 MPV. But whether or not it will make it to Frankfurt this year is still up in the air.
