Report: An updated Audi Quattro Concept due at Frankfurt, to be based off of the

A new report is in from Germany’s Autobild, which says that an updated Audi Quattro Concept is due at this year’s festivities in Frankfurt. A previous report or two have popped up in recent times, suggesting Audi’s desire to reconsider a production version of the original Quattro Concept from 2011.

Resultantly, Audi sought to update the original concept and bring it up to spec by basing it off of the current A6 and will weight roughly 2,645lbs sitting at the curb.

Rumors point to either the use of a turbocharged 2.5L five-cylinder or a twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8. Though, a 2.5L turbocharged five-cylinder tuned up the wazoo seems more fitting to stick with tradition, if Audi chose to.

Either way, it should be an exciting one. So stay tuned.
