The lucky dogs over at AutoBlog received the scoop on what could be Infiniti’s much-anticipated flagship sedan. Though, flagship can be a number of things for the Japanese luxury sports car maker. Based off of history, Infiniti’s last true flagship, the Q45, ceased production quite some time ago and was thought to be dead forever.
But rumors in the news reel have indicated that Infiniti is in the works to produce a new flagship to better compete against the industry leaders from Germany, the US of A, and even their home turf. This would imply a replacement of the Q45.
And while we won’t argue that this leaked design sketch portrays what could be on seriously sexy Infiniti, it looks more along the lines of a four-door coupe competitor, a la Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class and BMW 6-Series GranCoupe. And keen auto enthusiasts would kindly note that those two latter examples aren’t exactly brand flagship models.
Either way, this shows that Infiniti’s up something serious. And by all means, if it drives as well as it looks, Infiniti might have the others quivering in fear.
