Photo Leak: Pictures of what seems to be the all-new Mazda3 sedan have hit the web
While majority of us were enjoying a nice night with family, friends, and fireworks, AutoBlog appears to have hit the jackpot with obtaining what seems to be official photos for the all-new up and coming Mazda3 sedan. The new generation Mazda3 may not be news itself, but it was only unveiled in hatchback form to boot and the next model on the list to receive the spotlight was the variant without an extended boot.

Simply by the looks, the new Mazda3 looks like a downsized Mazda6, which is a great thing since Mazda’s latest “Kodo” design has been striking us well since it was introduced.
Though little specification was shared, other than the fact that Top Gear Russia has been the outlet to receive permission to share the first photographs of what is most likely the new Mazda3 sedan—in mother Russia, the Mazda3 is apparently called the “Treshka.”
Three engines have been described to sit under the hood of the Russian-spec Mazda3, though we’re most likely going to get two engines under the SkyActiv moniker, both being the same two gas four bangers found in the recently unveiled Mazda3 hatch. But let’s cross our fingers the new diesel debuting in the Mazda6 sedan for our shores will find its way under the hood as well (most likely the third engine option for said Russian-spec Mazda3/Treshka).
But until the Mazda3 hits US showrooms by the end of this year, pricing is expected to be announced in September while the official sedan unveiling will most likely occur within that timeframe.
