Report: Acura TSX to be discontinued after 2014 model year to make way for replacement

AutomotiveNews has learned that the Acura TSX will probably come to an end after the 2014 model year to make way for its replacement. With the introduction of the new base ILX, which nearly costs the same as the TSX and is almost the same size, the new TSX sort of represents an obsolete model overlap.

Acura’s head honcho Jeff Conrad reportedly told AN that the TSX “will be maintained for the foreseeable future.” Though other reports hint that the next generation TL will be downsized to better separate itself from the flagship RLX.

Since that’s occurring, speculation points to a unification of the TSX and TL lines and making it a single model since both are at the end of their product cycle.
