Report: GM recalling nearly 27,000 2013 SRX models over fears of loose wheel nuts

TheDetroitNews in conjunction with Reuters reports that General Motors is recalling nearly 27,000 SRX crossovers over hears of wheels that could fall off from improperly torqued wheel nuts.

In GM’s official filing, no crashes or injuries have been reported, though only certain 2103 Cadilalc SRX models equipped specifically with 18-inch wheels are at risk.

18,871 SRXs are affected here in the US of A with 913 modles in Canada, and around 7,397 exported outside the United States.

GM said that they have notified dealers and affected owners will receive notice on June 3, with the fix just requiring the removal of the nuts, the rotation of tires, and the reinstallation of the nuts.
