Word has it that Lamborghini’s much-rumored Urus SUV crossover concept has been confirmed for production and will be ready for production by 2017, according to a report by CarBuzz.com.
The online outlet sat down with Audi’s executive Rupert Stadler at the Grande Giro 500 Lamborghini tour that celebrated the Raging Bull’s 50th anniversary.

The production version of the Urus is said to be a turbocharged 4.0L V8 good for 584hp. However, no other details have been released.
Though due to Lamborghini’s obvious ties with Volkswagen, the brand has parts bins aplenty, especially with the modular platform underpinning the Porsche Cayenne and Volkswagen Touareg. That said, it wouldn’t be unreasonable to think that the Urus will use that as a starting point.
