Kia prices the 2014 Cadenza starting at $35,100 w/ $800 destination fee

Kia happily announced the official pricing for its newly introduced 2014 Cadenza premium sedan, which starts at just $35,100 plus an $800 destination fee. The 2014 Kia Cadenza is Kia’s take on a premium front-wheel drive sedan a la Hyundai Azera, Toyota Avalon, and Buick LaCrosse.

“The all-new Cadenza is a world-class Kia for the emerging space between mainstream and luxury and will appeal to discerning shoppers in the market for an upscale sedan,” said Tom Loveless, Kia’s vice president for sales. “We’re confident that Cadenza’s sophisticated styling, luxuriously appointed cabin and long list of available technology will make it a strong contender in the marketplace.”

Under the hood sits Hyundai’s 3.3L GDI V6 good for 293hp, which is mated to a six-speed “sport-tuned” automatic transmission. Additionally, much like its well-received and lesser Optima, the Cadenza makes sure to hone in at least some driving dynamics with the use of fully independent suspension all around.
