The year 2013 is truly making out to be a very exciting one for the entire automobile industry. So far, the auto shows that have occurred over the first quarter of 2013 around the world have truly delivered with a grand variety of things on four wheels to really be excited about. Even though the New York International Auto Show is the underdog out of the three major auto expositions in the United States—the North American International Auto Show in Detroit being the largest, and the Los Angeles International Auto Show being the second—New York still has a grand presence, being the greatest city in the world that it is.
And although New York’s offerings aren’t usually as extensive and outrageous as either of those other two, albeit not even close to other truly international shows like Geneva, Paris, or Tokyo, The floor of the Jacob Javits Center still won’t be short of any new material for this year.
We’ll be seeing a great list of new cars under the spotlight in the next days, which will help give us a really comforting glance at the things to come in the very near future.
On the inbound train of new debuts includes a pretty extensive—for New York, again—list of new cars which include, but are not limited to, the all-new 2014 Range Rover Sport, the aesthetically challenged but completely new 2014 Jeep Cherokee revival, the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible will be making an appearance along with a newly updated 2014 Chevrolet Camaro.
But above all, I believe the true show stopper will be the all-new 2014 Cadillac CTS, which experienced a photo leak not too long ago. And that’s because Cadillac has been one of the brands to truly keep an eye on considering how much they’ve changed by tenfold over the past two decades. Not to mention, Cadillac have promised that the new CTS will have a more direct take against the proverbial BMW 5-Series, which is a pretty big deal, especially if you consider the way it looks from the teasers.
So brace yourselves, the 2013 New York International Auto Show is just about here. One cannot simply follow the NYIAS from Interwebs without following egmCarTech’s real-time coverage.
