Video: The 2013 Audi S6 inspires bravery, according to their Super Bowl ad

Audi’s contribution to the latest line of Super Bowl XLVII TV ad spots have debuted earlier today at during this year’s major NFL competition. Their new theme focuses on “bravery,” which isn’t exactly the sort of character trait you’d expect in relation to Audi.

But after viewing the ad, Audi had decided to play it off one of our society’s highly regarded teenage institution, high school prom. The ad features the new 2013 S6 and a “slightly insecure teenager” who’s particularly upset about attending prom stag, which I’m sure many of us has experienced at least once. And to help him feel better about going to prom solo, his old man tossed him the keys to that newly acquired 2013 Audi S6.

Without analyzing this ad to the point of being a pedantically boring advertising scholar, it seems Audi’s trying to  say that owning one of their cars makes you feel like a whole new man—enough to the point where bravery “pays off.” It surely was an entertaining ad that harked back to my days of attending high school prom.

Check it out after the jump.
