Infiniti has officially taken the covers off of the new 2014 Q50 sedan (formerly know as the Infiniti G37 sedan) here at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. The new, redesigned 2014 Infiniti Q50 will go on sale in the United States starting this summer.

“This morning we are about to launch Infiniti on a bold new journey, a new Infiniti brand direction built on a foundation of our past and guided by a clear vision for the future,” said de Nysschen. “And it starts right here today with the new Infiniti Q50, a vehicle that clearly crystalizes the design, performance and technology direction for a new generation of Infiniti vehicles.”

On the outside, the new Infiniti Q50 takes some design cues from the Infiniti Essence Concept while the inside has also been redesigned with a new Infiniti InTouch communications system with large dual touch-screens.

Power for the 2014 Infiniti Q50 will come from a 3.7 liter V6 making 328-hp. A hybrid version featuring Infiniti’s Direct Response Hybrid System with Intelligent Dual Clutch Control will also be made available. Both models will be offered with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

Prices will be announced closer to launch date.
