Now that we’ve finally seen the new BMW 4 Series Coupe Concept, which will make its public debut at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show next month, news of the M version of the coupe is starting to trickle in. We recently heard via CARandDRIVER, that BMW will indeed offer an M4, which will replace the M3 Coupe, while the M3 will belong exclusively to the sedan.

Check out our original post on the BMW 4 Series Coupe Concept.

We now have more info on the new BMW M4, along with a nice rendering. According to a post on F30post.com, the new BMW M4 will be lighter than the current M3 Coupe, faster and will be powered by a ‘multi-turbo’ inline 6-cylinder engine.

The model will be mated to either a manual or automatic transmission and will also offer better fuel-economy.

Stay tuned for some more rumors and/or official word on the BMW M4.
