Report: Decision to produce Jaguar C-X75 entering ‘critical stage’

The last time we heard about Jaguar’s C-X75 Concept, it was reported that the British automaker is producing 5 working prototypes with hopes to produce 200 units for sale. It is now reported that the decision to produce the Jaguar C-X75 is entering a ‘critical stage of its development’ – meaning the company will ultimately decided if the car is produced or cancelled altogether.

Jaguar has been testing the hybrid powertrain and running tests for the past three months. Engineers are now working on creating working prototypes.

“This part of the development is absolutely unknown,” global brand director Adrian Hallmark told AutoCar. “We want to do it, but until we know the technology we cannot be clear.”
