2013 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup is the motorsport version of the next 911 GT3

What you’re looking at here is the motorsport version of the future Porsche 911 GT3. Known as the Porsche 911 GT3 Coupe, the model will be run exclusively in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup in 2013.

The Porsche 911 GT3 Coupe is one of the most successful race cars in the world with more than 2,300 units built since 1998 for enthusiast customers that love racing. Power for the new 2013 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup comes from a 3.8 liter 6-cylinder making 460-hp at 7,500 rpms. The model is mated to a 6-speed dog-type gearbox developed by Porsche Motorsport which is operated via shift paddles at the steering wheel.

“The new 911 GT3 Cup is much easier to drive at the limit,” says Porsche works driver Timo Bernhard, who was significantly involved in the development of the new vehicle. “The car is excellently balanced. The new axle geometry is enormously positive for the handling. Apart from that the new Cup 911 is great fun to drive.”

Prices for the 2013 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup start at 181,200 Euro ($234,479 USD).
