Our close friends over at DRIVE recently had the chance to head over to the Nurburgring and visit Jaguar’s Test Center in Industrial Park.
Drive’s JF Musial was given a private tour of the test facility with Phil Talboys, head of European Test Operations for Jaguar, as well as a lap of the Nordshliefe with Sascha Bert, the Jaguar test driver who set the XKR-S lap record.
Of course, we’re quite jealous that Musial also got some seat time behind the XKR-S beast. For throwing-it-in-your-face purposes, the Jaguar XKR-S is powered by a 5.0 liter supercharged V8 making 550-hp with a maximum torque of 502 lb-ft of torque. 0 to 60 mph comes in 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 186 mph.
Check out the video after the jump.
