New Mercedes-Benz M-Class Popemobile delivered to Pope Benedict XVI
Mercedes-Benz has dropped the official images of the new M-Class Popemobile, which it unveiled during a special-ceremony at Vatican City.
The model was personally delivered to Pope Benedict XVI by Daimler CEO and Chairman Dr Dieter Zetsche. The model has been completely revamped and is based on the new-generation M-Class. If you look at it from a different point-of-view, the new Popemobile has been converted into a pickup with a giant bulletproof glass with an illuminated roof lining. Pope Benedict XVI also has a specially designed throne in which he will be hanging out in.
The Pope will use the new Mercedes-Benz M-Class Popemobile tomorrow to travel to the Spanish Steps to celebrate the Immaculate Conception.
