One of the many things in the works are rear-wheel-dive models to help Lincoln compete better with its rivals.
“Rear-wheel-drive is definitely in the works,” one of Ford’s top executives confirmed with TheDetroitBureau.com.
Instead of partnering up with other brand’s for a rear-wheel-drive architecture Lincoln will go at it alone and may share the next-generation Ford Mustang platform. Lincoln has also confirmed that most or all of its cars will be available with an all-wheel-drive option.
