Lotus sues ex CEO for extravagant lifestyle, lavish expenses

Earlier this, Lotus’ ex-CEO Dany Bahar sued Lotus and Malaysian parent company DRB- Hicom for 6.7 million pounds for a wrongful dismissal. Well, Group Lotus has now responded with their own lawsuit saying that Bahar had stuck them with expensive bills for his luxury lifestyle including a chauffeur, helicopter travel and 10 wristwatches.

Lotus is looking for 2.5 million pounds (around $4 million USD) for unauthorized expenses.

Bahar was fired from his position in June.

Group Lotus said that Bahar had “done an ‘abysmal’ job as CEO and was excessively extravagant. His expenses “were all the more unacceptable given that his brief was to turn the business around, which he singularly failed to do.”
