2012 LA: BMW i3 Coupe Concept with two doors, orange exterior
The BMW i3 Coupe Concept gather quite a crowd for the past two days as the new addition to BMW’s new ‘i’ brand.

Based on the BMW i3, the i3 Coupe drops two doors but carries the same powertrain. The system, which sits on the rear axle, produces 170-hp with a maximum torque of 184 lb-ft. That should give the BMW i3 Coupe Concept the ability to go from 0 to 37 mph in under 4 seconds and from 0 to 62 mph in less than 8 seconds. On a full charge, the BMW i3 Coupe Concept can travel a total range of 80 to 100 miles.
BMW says that the battery can be fully recharged in 6 hours from a standard power socket.
