2012 LA: Bentley Continental GT3 Race Car concept comes to the U.S.

After making its debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show earlier this year, the Bentley Continental GT3 Race Car is making its North American debut a the 2012 LA Auto Show today. The debut celebrates the brand’s return to motorsport towards the end of 2013.

“For some time now our customers have been telling us that it is time to return to motorsport,” said Rolf Frech, Member of the Board for Engineering, Bentley Motors. “Our US customers are no exception and I am delighted to be showing the Continental GT3 concept race car in LA.”

The Bentley Continental GT3 race car is currently being developed by a dedicated motorsport team at Bentley’s headquarters in Crewe.

It was recently reported that Bentley is already working on a road-going version of the Continental GT3 with some 700-hp under the hood.
