2012 LA: 2013 Honda Crosstour gets a little rugged

Today at the 2012 LA Auto Show Honda pulled the sheets off of its 2013 Crosstour model.

New standard features for this year are some updated exterior styling, improved interior design and materials, and visibility upgrades such as re-shaped headrests, larger driver’s mirror and a rearview camera.

Added options include a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters for the V6, Honda LaneWatch blind-spot display, HondaLink with Aha compatability, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning and Smart Entry with Push Button start. Two new metallic exterior paint colors have been added as well: Kona Coffee and Mountain Air.

Engine options include a 2.4-liter 4-banger for the EX and EX-L that makes 192hp and 162 lb-ft of torque, or Honda’s all new Earth Dreams 3.5-liter V6 that kicks out 278 hp and 252 lb-ft of torque and runs on either 3 or 6 cylinders based on engine speed and load.

Prices start at $27,230.
