Report: New gasoline-powered Saab 9-3 coming next summer
Earlier this year, it was announced that Saab has been sold to a Chinese-Swedish investment group with Japanese backing called National Electric Vehicle AB (NEVS). The company had planned to released an electric-car based on the Saab 903 with sales to begin in early 2014.
New reports now suggest that the company will instead launch a gasoline version of the 9-3 early next year and not an electric-car as previously reported.
A spokesman for the new owners of Saab said that a part of the reason considering an earlier launch was to increase brand awareness of the brand. NEVs is apparently looking for a new logo for the Saab brand as well.
