Video: Watch the banned UK Toyota GT 86 commercial

A Toyota GT 86 (known to us as the Scion FR-S) commercial has been banned in the UK for allegedly condoning dangerous driving.

The commercial, called ‘The Real Deal,’ shows an animated man driving a car in an animated world where things are controlled by some virtual authority. Eventually, the man ends up buying a Toyota GT 86 from some underground mafia place and drives away until he breaks through a glass wall into the real world.

Pure poetry right? I thought it was kind of cool actually but two two UK viewers complained that the ad was irresponsible and condoned dangerous driving.

The UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has now banned the commercial but Toyota still has it up on its YouTube page for you to check out.
