Thieves in Amsterdam steal Porsche Panamera headlamps to grow marijuana (w/ Video)

Porsche Headlights

Law enforcers in Amsersterdam have an interesting problem on their hands. In only one week around 20 owners of Porsche Panamera sedans and Cayenne SUV’s have had the headlamps stolen off of their vehicles.

Amsterdam Police believe that the cause of such a jump in an off-beat crime is that the thieves are using the Xenon headlamps to aid in growing marijuana.

Why the Porsche headlights? Well, the officials say that because the lights give off a substantial amount of heat and light yet are still energy efficient, the lamps suit the suspected purpose perfectly.

Check out the video after the jump to see one of the thieves caught in action pilfering the headlamps off of a Porsche Panamera.
