2012 SEMA: Mazda CX-5 180 Concept is for the adventures folks of SoCal
Mazda sought out to create a concept to satisfy the multifaceted recreation options that California’s southern region can deliver with the CX-5 180 with something entirely different.
The concept comes with a Rusty surfboard for beach going, Burton Cheetah snowboards for hitting the mountains, a stylized topographical map of Southern California’s Point Dume and Big Bear Lake, seasonal statistics on the front doors, and plenty of additional data that one might need and then some.
The automaker used a custom color scheme full of blue shades including Midnight, Denim, Tidal Blue and Bay Blue, all of which are used in the mapping imprints, as well as Luminous Red highlights. It also sits on a set of 20-inch black chrome alloy wheels, wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric tires sized at 265/40R20. A Racing Beat dual exhaust has also been added with a satin chrome finish.
Inside, the CX-5 is covered in Aqua-colored leather with Bright White accents on the door panels, seats and steering wheel, with French seams in red and white in custom stitching patterns.
