Hoping to not be overlooked, Bugatti is apparently looking to create a very crazy version of the Veyron.

According to Automobile Magazine, Bugatti will launch an extreme version of the Veyron at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. It will essentially be a Veyron Super Sport on steroids pushing some 1,600-hp. That could allow the car to hit 0 to 62 mph in 1.8 seconds and hit a top speed of an eye-wattering 288 mph.

That’s just extreme.

All that will be made possible by the crazy work done by Bugatti engineers and a weight reduction on the Super Sport of 550 lbs.

Prices should start north of $2.5 million.
