Volkswagen’s Scirocco was revived last spring at the 2012 Leipzig Auto Show in Germany badged at the GTS, and has now made its way to showrooms across Europe.
Five different engines are available for the GTS. The petrols include a 1.4-liter TSI that makes 158hp and a 2.0-liter TSI that puts out 207hp. Diesels come in both a 138hp 2.0-liter TDI/2.0-liter TDI BlueMotion and the 2.0-liter TDI that produces 168hp.
A styling package comes with red colored mirrors and striping that runs form the hood over the roof and down the trunk. A set of 18-inch wheels with a 19-inch option, brake calipers, new rear bumper with diffuser and a spoiler grabbed from the ‘R’ model have been added in for the 2.0 TSI models, as well.
On the inside, the GTS gets piano black lacquer accents on the dash, steering wheel and door trims, black seats with red stitching, custom gear knob in VW’s ‘golf ball’ style, and GTS badging on the seats and floor mats.
Pricing for the new Volkswagen Scirocco GTS starts at $36,000 USD and goes up to $43,800.
